EPIC

Okay but my question is what is Friendster? and when was it ever popular? Actually, scratch that I looked up what Friendster is/ was... for those who don't know (like me) what this site was, it was to begin with a social networking platform that was founded by Jonathan Abrams and the company had a goodish run till about 2015. The platform became a social gaming site, which originally based in California but now it is in Malaysia. Alright so enough with that, Epic was a very interesting short film altogether. I would have to say that maybe if I did not know what google and amazon were... maybe live under a rock... and that's not to discriminate in any way... but both platforms are enormously popular. With this film saying that these two platforms came together that's what made me sit in my chair and really think if that was a thing... which it wasn't btw, but after looking up if it was a real thing and all... ya know cause I didn't trust my mind at that moment..

Email = Postal Services

Hmm so what came first is the question. the egg or the chicken (I think that how that joke goes). Well the same can be asked about the email and postal services. Although we all know the Postal services came first, but it’s just so similar to email one could ask which came first. Some similarities include the option of mail forwarding. In the postal service world, you can forward your mail to a new residence if you are leaving your old one and still would like to receive your mail, similar to that if you just want to forward an email to another email you can do that, as long as you have the forwarding address for both. Just like with postal services you receive your mail at a specific address that hopefully you only have, just like an email address its just yours and the mail comes directly to you.  I didn't really know how similar the email and the postal service was until I really thought about.

WIWFC

What I hope to gain from this class is a firmer understanding on the basics of technology and how the world is slowly being taken over by it... or it? its questions like that that make me want to know more like at the beginning of class on the first day when you asked us about AIs... it's just crazy how powerful technology is and what is to become of it in the near future.. so maybe just a little help on using the technology and not letting it use me or us! I'm also looking forward to getting more information on Technology and that major because it's not a major that I haven't actually looked into it yet so some knowledge might be great to have.
